          Clean hotel

parking is an issue. Not a lot of parking spaces and the location can be confusing to get to.

          The pool and fitness center

The is no room service. If you need some milk or toast at night because you are felling sick they won't provide that to you. There is only a restaurant were guests can take regular meals, quite expensive.

Everything about our stay was great - we had a 1 bedroom for 3 of us and a 2 bed room. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. The only complaint would be having to wait for the elevators - that always seemed to take a long time. But other than that, everything was an excellent value. It was a short walk to everything and Beacon Hill Park was 1 block away. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Elevators - only 2 and took a long time to come.

I thought the Queen Victoria was great value for the money. My suite was very comfortable. I liked that there was easy access to computers in the Business Center off the lobby and I could easily check my email. I found the location perfect for my needs...so I'd put location, comfort and value as the things I liked best.

        • Family with children
          9.2

very nice, spacious, and great location. helpful staff. they let us leave our car there after we checked out so we didn't have to find and pay for parking elsewhere.

        • Older travelers
          8.2

Convenience to downtown, friendliness of staff.

This is our second stay here. This time our room was very exposed to traffic noise. I can't remember if the hotel has a/c, but our room could not be cooled down unless we had the window open all the time, making the traffic noise even worse. Also, I appeared to be allergic to something in the room this time. My allergies acted up in the room, but not out of the room. We'd stay there again but would ask for a quieter room with working a/c if they have a/c and I'd take my own pillow since I think theirs was the cause of my allergies acting up.

        • Family with children
          8.8

The room, swimming pool and hot tub were all very clean. The location was perfect, across from the museum, close to restaurants and the downtown core.

I was very unhappy that the check-in time was not until 4:00 p.m. This was a huge inconvenience. As well, while we waited for visitors, we were not allowed to sit down in the restaurant to have a cup of coffee due to people who were not staying at the hotel reserved lunch tables.

        • Family with children
          7.8

Closeness to downtown. Room was fairly well situated for a relatively pretty good view.

I booked well in advance and was not told there would not be a fridge or microwave in room so I was very disappointed to find this out upone check in. Although I knew about this I thought pay parking should be included.

        • Older travelers
          9.2

Location is excellent, hotel is comfortable, homey. Restaurant offering three meals a day is great. Housekeeping is accommodating and friendly and rooms are well kept. I had to request cotton sheets, after two nights on the 23% polyester sheets (which I'm allergic to, I needed to get them changed. the staff at the dest inquired and phoned me to say that the hotel didn't have any. since I had stayed there many times before I didn't believe the info from the Frondt Desk and spoke to the person servicing our room and, voila! I had 100% cotton sheets that night which was excellent. Since you are an 'allergy conscious' hotel I hope you continue to keep some !00% cotton sheets for people like myself.

Fitness room is too hot/not well ventilated/equipment is maintained/pool is nice facility.

        • Older travelers
          9.6

A combination of the facility itself plus the friendliness of staff make for an atmosphere not often found in other hotels. We look forward to our next stay.

        • Single

The location was perfect, next to the city. The staff was friendly. The room was nice and big.

I found a tuft of hairs in my bed... not nice! One reason why I booked this hotel was the gym. But it was more a playground for teens and childrens. It was not easy to use the gym.
